We Serve — An Invitation to Aloha

Lions are dedicated to humane services in the community

E Kupa'a Au I Ka Lawelawe Ana

Our Mission

  • To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world

  • To promote the principles of good government and good citizenship

  • To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community

  • To unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding

  • To provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members

  • To encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

The Lions Club of Honolulu is the mother club of Lionism in Hawaii.  The Lions Club of Honolulu has always been a source of leadership, both of the international organization and within the Hawaii community.

Over seventy-five years ago our founding members laid the foundation for what remain the enduring hopes and dreams of Hawaii's Lions.  The organization of Lions Clubs continues to grow and has expanded to sixty-nine clubs across the state, that give generously of their time and labor and who have donated or contributed several million dollars to accomplish our mission.

We always live up to the motto of Lionism:  "We Serve!"  It is very rewarding and we look forward to the new and greater challenges of the future.

Come join us and let us recommit ourselves to the principle of Service to Mankind.
